Snow Valley MTB Closing Weekend 2026: Downhill Racing and Final Laps

There is still one more weekend to put Snow Valley on the riding calendar. The Running Springs bike park is pairing Valley Series downhill racing on Saturday, October 24, with its scheduled 2026 closing day on Sunday, October 25.

For Southern California riders, that makes the weekend a choice between the pressure of the clock and another day collecting laps with friends. Either way, the summer bike-park season is running out of calendar.

Saturday Brings the Valley Series Finale

The second stop of Snow Valley's two-race Valley Series takes place October 24. Online registration closes Friday, October 23, at 6 p.m. The organizer also lists on-site registration on race morning.

The published Saturday schedule includes:

  • 8-10:30 a.m.: Registration and packet pickup
  • 9 a.m.-noon: Downhill practice
  • 12:30 p.m.: Downhill race begins
  • 3 p.m.: Awards ceremony

Check the official Valley Series event page for entry details, registration and schedule updates.

Race Day Changes Public Trail Access

The event page identifies Bandit, Crazy Horse and Gun Smoke as closed to public riding during race day. Riders coming for regular park laps should check the latest restrictions before choosing Saturday.

That distinction matters when planning a trip. A race brings a different rhythm to the mountain, with practice, course closures and competition sharing the day's schedule.

Sunday Is Scheduled for Final Laps

Snow Valley lists Sunday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as its final day of 2026 summer operations for mountain biking, hiking and Scenic Sky Chair rides.

The resort currently plans to have all bike trails open for closing day, but that is a plan rather than a guarantee. Weather, staffing and trail work can change operations. Review the official closing-day page before leaving home.

For anyone using remaining summer benefits, the resort says its 2026 bike-park passes, pass-holder Friends & Family lift tickets and third-party lift tickets expire October 25. Check the terms of your specific pass or ticket.
