SNOW SUMMIT MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK
Words: Brian Terhorst
Now that the snow has vanished & the winter gear has been stowed… it’s time to break out the Mountain Bike gear & prep for an epic season of riding. Best place to ride? Snow Summit Mountain Bike Park at Bear Mountain.
Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain Resorts have been one of the largest supporters of the Revolt Summer Surf Series for nearly a decade. In return for a highly visible presence at the events each summer (branding and onsite activations) BBMR supplies the Overall Winner of the Men’s and Women’s Pro Am Divisions with Winter season passes for the snow parks! Not to mention Snow Summit supplies the competitors passes for the Mountain Bike Park during the entire summer season. Pretty freakin’ EPIC if you ask me!
Less than two hours from San Diego (or on the way home from Las Vegas trip) Extreme banking turns, jumps and wooden bridges for all skill levels have been constructed on three separate trails for the modest to extreme riders. All accessible by lifts.
No gear of your own? No worries, they also offer rental equipment. FYI – It’s some of the best equipment you can get your hands on. Just sayin’.
Snow Summit only Mountain Bike Passes are just $339 and Snow Summit is scheduled to open for the 2021 summer season, June 11.
To show appreciation for their passholders, they’ll be opening Chair 1 exclusively for 2021 Summit Bike Park passholders on Thursday, June 10, before opening to the general public on Friday, June 11

THE CAVE
If you are looking for great entertainment, look no further than The Cave in The Village. They spared no expense when turning the old movie theater into a live show venue. The Cave is a rare treat, especially for a community the size of Big Bear Lake. It still has that local, small venue feel but with big city sound with some name music acts.
