SYDNEY SWEENEY SHINES IN NEW FLICK ‘AMERICANA’
Last night, Hollywood stars brought Western vibes to Los Angeles as the cast and creators of AMERICANA hit the red carpet for a special LA Tastemaker Event. Leading lady Sydney Sweeney turned heads alongside co-stars Halsey and Simon Rex, writer-director Tony Tost, and producer Alex Saks.
The evening paid homage to the film’s modern-day Western themes, setting the scene at the iconic Desert 5 Spot—a hotspot known for its Western saloon-style flair. After posing for photos and chatting with fans, guests were treated to a screening of AMERICANA followed by a lively post-show reception complete with a mechanical bull, custom cowboy hat embroidery, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
The Film
Written and directed by Tony Tost and produced by Alex Saks, AMERICANA boasts an all-star ensemble cast including Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey, Simon Rex, Eric Dane, and Zahn McClarnon.
The story follows a high-stakes clash over a rare Native American artifact that hits the black market. A shy waitress with big dreams (Sweeney) teams up with a lovestruck military vet (Hauser) in a desperate bid to reclaim it, putting them squarely in the path of a ruthless criminal (Dane) working for a shady antiquities dealer (Rex). As more players—including a determined indigenous leader (McClarnon) and a mysterious fugitive (Halsey)—enter the fray, tensions erupt into a modern-day Western showdown.
