Revolt In Style… or not at all!
Can money buy you happiness? It’s a question philosophers have debated for centuries — and in Good Fortune, it’s finally answered by an overworked gig worker, a rich guy having a crisis, and an angel who clearly didn’t read the assignment. A bold new comedy from director Aziz Ansari, this one asks all the right questions… and leaves you laughing at the wrong answers.
GOOD FORTUNE
A divine comedy about cash, chaos, and the cost of happiness.
Can money buy happiness? That’s the billion-dollar question at the center of Good Fortune, a twisted modern fable where heaven sends the least qualified angel (Keanu Reeves) to fix the lives of a broke delivery guy (Aziz Ansari) and a bloated VC (Seth Rogen).
Keanu Reeves plays Gabriel, a well-meaning but wildly unqualified celestial being who’s been sent to Earth to “balance the scales.” His strategy? Tangle the lives of a broke, burned-out gig worker (Aziz Ansari) and a smug, success-addicted venture capitalist (Seth Rogen).
What follows is a karmic trainwreck of good intentions, spiritual malpractice, and painfully funny self-discovery. With help (and hindrance) from a whip-smart rideshare driver (Keke Palmer) and a cryptic guide with zero tolerance for BS (Sandra Oh), the two men are forced to confront what they really value — and whether either of them is actually happy.
From Aziz Ansari, GOOD FORTUNE is part buddy comedy, part social satire, and part celestial mess. It’s about status, purpose, and that nagging voice in your head asking: If I had everything… would it be enough?
The answer? You tell us.
